Hi ,

I have accepted an offer letter from a consultancy A and my Employment permit for Malaysia has been processed by them and my expected date of journey was 11th of August 2014.

But I have been infected by a contagious virus(HERPES) and am not in a condition to travel for at least next 2 months .

The offer letter which I have accepted has a clause saying incase I am not able to join them I have to pay them one month salary.

Now the consultancy is trying to bully me on legal aspect and asking me to pay one month salary.

Could you please advice on the best what could be done on this.

I have accepted the offer letter via email and they only have the scanned copy with them.
