For 3 yrs LLB programme … which is better GLC or ILS …??
Please justify keepin in mind course curriculum ,college life , hostel , internships , placements … etc …

i was a law student at a college in pune and spent 5 years there, which gave me an opportunity to get to know ILS college and the students of the college. Also, I am originally from bombay which gives me an insight on GLC. I will try my best to answer your query with what knowledge i have of the two colleges.
GLC offers a B.A LL.B degree from the mumbai university where as ILS being affiliated to the Pune University offers a B.S.L LL.B degree. Most of the subjects are common, which is why in this regard it does not make much of a difference as to which college you pick. Although it is pertinent to note that by picking GLC you will be able to work as an intern throughout your college years, which will provide you with an excellent opportunity to grow your network as well as learn. most students of GLC intern throughout the year as there are no compulsory lectures. also, due to the amazing reputation that the college has, the students are able to get an internship very easily. this is one problem that students of ILs face. However, the faculty at ILS is amazing and their placement is pretty decent too. being the best law college in pune, it has a few advantages as well.
The biggest disadvantage that GLC has, is the fact that there is basically no college life. Once you join, you start working and you continue to work till you graduate or get a job. On the other hand, even though ILS is extremely strict about attendance, you get a taste of the crazy college years that everyone talks about. pune is a student friendly city and hence, you will be able to find appropriate accommodation ( if you are unable to get into the college hostel which is situated on campus). it will not take you much time to figure out the most amazing food joints, bars and clubs around.
the major advantage that GLC has over ILS is the fact that it is situated in bombay and the High Court is very close by. Also, as mentioned earlier, you can very easily score an internship and work through your college years.
Although if you want a complete college experience, i would suggest you pick ILS. the college is brilliant and so is their campus. the faculty is reputed and very experienced, the students are pretty smart and overall the college is very appealing.
