Well, I belong to one of the schools you mentioned but I will try to be unbiased.

I feel your pain. Having said that, I did join a different university before coming here. I dropped out of it to join my present law school after taking a year long break. For me, I’ve always felt, it was worth it.

BUT - that is not to say that legal education elsewhere is in shambles. I’ve had the privilege of knowing several outstanding lawyers from lesser known law schools across the country.

As far as the internship program goes - don’t sweat it. If this really bothers you - make your own law school count for more.

Like you mentioned - the program is open to students from NLS NUJS NALSAR NLIU… where did NLU / GNLU / HNLU / the others go? Aren’t they modeled on the same lines as well?

The fact is - it doesn’t matter where you start. It is only because the four mentioned here seem to have fared better than the rest that you see such open discrimination. If other “national” law schools can be omitted from this list, who is to say that “non-national” law schools can’t be included in it?

Think about it. My two cents: whine less, work more. If it bothers you, work your li’l arse of to prove your worth.
