Cheating/Fraud

Hi,

I am Charan Raj residing in Bangalore(Karnataka), one person from Vellore(Tamilnadu) has cheated me a sum of 1.5 lakhs promising me a job. But he never got me job or returned my money. He is threatening me saying that he is very influential and can face any legal actions against him. Please advice me on how to proceed further regarding this matter. I had paid him hard cash and do not have any proof for it however I saved have all the communications we both had like in Whats-app, Google talk and Facebook chats.

Giving money for securing a job itself is not a wholly legal thing especially if its in government or public sector.

So law says that it cannot help a person who along with another , had tried to violate the laws.

But you could file a suit for recovery of money and the other party being very influential will loose more if he does not settle your claim

You can file a suit where any part of the cause of action arose
