We really dont need your advice!

LegalPoet is only trying to help. Just as much as he is entitled to offer his advise, you are entitled to reject it. However, would appreciate if you take individual responsibility for your statement, even if you remain anonymous. In other words, a statement like “I really don’t need your advice” would have been more precise than “We really don’t need your advice.” If you are using the term “we” - specify who the group is. I’m sure you are not representing the entire student community seeking information on internships.

I’m just trying to help here. Live and let live. You entitled to have differences of opinion and criticize someone. However, try to offer constructive criticism. That will help in improving your own skills as a lawyer as well.

Ermmm…this is strange. I offered an advice; bona fide and something which I think is helpful. (LI”s career counsel section has some brilliant pointers by various law firm partners). I don’t understand the need for such a vitriolic comment. :(

Hahaha. Hello friends i think we are deviating from the main discussion. Anyway thanks Legal Poet. Your suggestion was really helpful and i got what i wanted. Further more suggestions are welcome.

@Vikramaditya..I guess ,to intern in a law firm ,u r slightly late for July… moreover a gud law firm appreciate if u apply at least in ur 3rd year.. But still u have chances… U see if u have some contacts from ur earlier internships den use them.. if not then u have to be a little laborious… Follow up is really important…dat men once u send ur CV ..give der HRs some folloing calls,..n keep doing it..untill de remember ur name… Some time these r ur follow ups which lead them to read ur CV (Generally In big law firms there are high chances that, ur CV is under a mountain of 50 -60 daily received CVs…they hardly read all )… Keep ur hops alive untill they say No on ur face..and keep calling them…

this is the mantra of grabbing a internship… (Correct me if i m wrong)

@Vikram…Ohh “Sir”…aree yarrr dat was so high degree pronoun… Even i did learn this method from my seniors…but Many things i learn myself, n ur time ll come… There is no substitute for hard work…Go werever for internship , mak it a point dat u giv ur bst… It has far-reaching reflections..Ur contacts and impression in such firm ll help in ur further quest for many thing… never leave a chance of making gud friends during ur internship, n create a gud frenz circle…Don’t forget to enjoy while interning (Absence of parents and warden..such chances are not frequent)… My first lesson frm Seniors… “Work Hard n Party Harder”… All d best.
