Owner passed away - shared property under dispute

Recruitmax 2 Feb 2014, 15:47

Dear Sir/Madam,

It has been a long time when my mother got married my grandfather told my father to build a bungalow of 3 rooms on the plot and take one room for him with the building price was given by us only. The plot was given to my grandfather by government as government employee on lease.

So, in 1984 where we had collected some money to buy a plot we thought the option given by my grandfather was also good and cancelled the idea of buying a plot and invested that money in construction. The amount was nearly about 1 lakh. And the bungalow was shared by my 2 mammas and my father. My aunt told a lie and informed my brother that the house in which we were staying has been sold and it need to be vacated on an urgent basis. And so they gave the money of 1 lakh rs. to buy a new home n 2005. We had no idea about their plan.

We took new home and then came to know that they have cheated us as the 2 mammas did not want to share the bungalow and so they cheated us so that we can vacant the room.

Now the bungalow is not in a condition to stay and hence could not go back. Also, the property tax is also not on our name. No bill is in our name as the bungalow and the plot was on my grandfather’s name. But we want a share of that bungalow and the plot as the amount invested in 1984 cannot be the same in 2005. But no one is interested in resolving the dispute. Whenever we start speaking about it they don’t provide any answer. Now no one is staying there. But the plot is unutilized and to avoid further complications wanted to resolve the matter. But don’t know how as nothing is our name. Only ration card might be there on my father’s name.

Now my grandfather and my grandmother had passed away.

Please guide.
