Hello,

I am a Christian from Gujarat. Does the Christian Succession Act apply in my state also?

My mother is asking for my late father’s share from the ancestral property.

But as the property was inherited by my grandfather from his sister(unmarried), my uncle is saying that daughter in law(means my mother) does not have the right to succession and any share in the property according to Christian Succession Act.

Kindly help me with some legal sections if possible.
