i am student of class 12th and i have my cousin who is ready to sponsor my fees from usa..

i want to know if there is some difference in the fees of general and nri sponsored..

and is that compulsary to have passport for being nri sponsored.

Yes there is a difference in the fees for NRI sponsorship, the latter is much higher. In my year, NRI sponsorship at NUJS was around 18 lakhs for five years, whereas it was much less for the general category.

As for whether YOU need a passport, I don’t think that was the case back then, but you should still check with the authorities
