is it a law job??

Hi.,i am working in a PSU as a legal officer.i am handling disciplinary cases in the Company..there is nil applicability of laws what the laws studied in law schools..only the company rules were followed..i got a feel that it is not a lawyer’s job and fearing about my career and want to take decision,even to move out of this job. please help and suggest.

I didn’t really understand the kind of work you are doing, but i’d suggest if your work doesn’t relate to what you want to do and you don’t have financial problems per se, get out of that place as soon as you can. I work in an lpo and there’s nothing in the work i do i can call as application of what I had studied. Furthermore, the more time you take to come to a conclusion, the more harm it does. The law firms refuse to entertain work experience which is not related to law as such. In the long run it would do more harm than good.
But on the flip side it is a PSU after all. You can switch departments I believe at a later stage in your career there.
