Dear Sir,

Pls let me know about legal eligibility about staying in hotel of an Adult male with his girlfriend, carrying valid ID proof both of them.

In this situation can local authority obstruct?

Dear Santanu,

There is no such law prohibiting you from staying at a hotel with your girlfriend. However, the owner of a hotel has the right to allow or refuse any guest from staying at his hotel based pretty much on his own fancy. The rights of admission are reserved by the hotelier and he does not need to justify his decision to not let you stay at his hotel with your girlfriend to any legal authority.

YOu’ll have to try another hotel for your night outs.
