Into Journalism with a Law Degree

nixon.sathya 16 Oct 2013, 14:03

I currently in my final year of BL degree. I am planning to apply for a journalist job in a print media. Can some one suggest me a road map.

I am planning to practice and work as a journalist, I think that is allowed as per the advocates act.

May I ask learned people to suggest me a step by step guide to get there?

Thanks

By studing Law, you cannot become a journalist. Journalism is a full time profession. Make up your mind, if still interested, then get yourself enrolled in any journalism diploma course. It will take you another 1 yr. After that start your career in journalism. But don’t give a second thought of restarting your career in Law; It will only make your life difficult to sustain any further than you had actually planned for.

But is it not true that there are some good Journalist lawyers, who are employed as journalist and are also practicing ?

Thanks
