Hello everyone,

I have just found this forum and would be great someone can give me some advice please.

My mother has a basement flat in delhi. She used to pay maintainance for it but due to some financial issues she had to stop paying in 2007. She never got any letters asking for any payments and now suddenly she has been getting letters to pay more than 2 lacs. She cannot afford to pay that amount and i was wondering what does the law say on this. Will she have to pay if they go to court?
