After 6 months of marriage, due to adjustment problems, my wife filed a false complaint of harassment, dowry etc. The girls parents involved police in between and finally they settled at alimony of 8 Lakh and filed for mutual consent divorce.

During the first motion, both girl and boy signed in front of court on a statement regarding alimony. Court has given 6 months time and second motion is in September.

I have heard that this new law for share in parental property is only for new cases and not existing cases. Is this true ?

Can this new law effect me by any ways ?
