Sir,please may you tell me that if a lost cheque is houner for payment in bank.What are the legal action taken agionst that person?

I stopped tose cheqes but someone presant one of them in bank for payment.but as i stooped them it is not hounerd.Now that person send me a notice for this.He got my address from RC n Driving Licence which r also lost with my cheques.

What i do for this any law aganst this offence?
