Old friends harasing through emails

Hi,
I am married for last 2 years and currently out of india for last few months.One of my old college friend, now harasing me through Emails.He used to be a classmate and a good friend who used to visit our home .Now he is harasing me and threating me to show that we are in a relationship to my husband and his relativies and wanted me to start talking to him.He is threting to upload my morphed pics in fb.
Please help me what i can do legally.

First be truthful to your husband and tell him the situation.
Secondly, make sure, somehow, that the old friend send you a threat via email or sms. If he speaks to you over phone, most phones enable you to record the conversation. Record him.
This is vital because in our society people will doubt you before they believe you. So ensure you cover yourself adequately by having enough evidence before proceeding any further.
Finally, make sure you file an FIR at the police station, provide them with the prima facie evidence you have collected.
