Tough time ahead

novice 30 Jun 2013, 23:17

Once again, the time has come when family and friends would be in constant discussions on decisions about your career. Many of you might be ready with your answers and your future might seem clear, although others might still be in a dilemma about which university or college would be fit for you. I would just like to give you some tips that might help you go through the difficult time picking your college.

Firstly, recognise your needs or requirements and do not compromise with it. Even though many might say that you simply need to decide the subject and the rest would fall in place, it is not true. You should keep in mind that the things that you cannot compromise on, shall not be wrestled with. It might be stupid to many, it is the right way to go about it. If you won’t be happy, you won’t be able to give 10% of your effort.

Secondly get to know the activities there are in college. This is important as just getting a degree should not be your aim. Advancing in life is what we need to achieve and this can be accomplished only if we participate in other activities.

Thirdly try to be part of communities or clubs if in college. You know US is doing extremely well because everyone is engaged in some sort of communities. People are concerned about the society other than their career, which makes the environment more friendly.

The last point I would like you to keep in mind is even though you have not really got the opportunity to embrace yourself, do it now. You will need all the patience, intellect, control of moods and concentration in the further years.

So ALL THE BEST.. and I hope you do well.
