Brother refusing to give back land ownership.
Lawyers and law practitioners, excusing me for being anonymous and posting as the 3rd person.
Two Brothers X (businessman) and Y (civil employee).
X bought a public land with the name of Y. Since the land owner (Z) at that time could only sell to civil employees as government were acquiring those lands and giving it to civil employees for a low price.
X paid the money and the land was registered to Y.
Since they were brothers, X trusted his brother and didn’t take back the ownership from Y. X paid most of the living expense, all utility bills, completed the mortgage and full construction cost. Utility bills had the name of the last owner (Z) while mortgage was paid under Y’s name. But X kept the receipts, he also has all legal papers for the land including the land register.
After 20 years, X’s has a few years before retirement. Now X wants to take back ownership from Y so that his family’s inheritance is secured. But Y and his family is refusing to give back the ownership.
Y now tries to give this land to the land developer while X has enough money to build a building on his own.
How can the Law help X get back his property?
Replies with court case references will be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
