Property Issue between brothers, refusing to give back land.
Lawyers and law practitioners, excuse me for posting anonymously as the 3rd person.
Problem:
The issue is between two brothers X and Y.
Y bought a land giving the name of X. Since it was a public land, it was only to be sold to civil employees. So Y paid the money required and the land was registered to X.
Having trust in X, Y didn’t take back the land ownership. Y paid the utility bills, mortgage fees , home construction fees etc in the last 20 years.
Y now wants to take back the land ownership so that his family can inherit his property, but X is refusing to give back ownership. Even X’s family sides with him and against Y.
The papers (mortgage/expense receipts and land register) named after X is in the possession of Y. How can the Law help Y get back his ownership?
Thanks in advance.
