Missing link document (sale deed)

AnonymousLLB 21 Apr 2010, 19:10

Respected Sir,

Unfortunately, we were able to check EC and original documents just before registering the PATTA plot. We found that one of its link document (registered in the year 2007) is missing but they have kept “copy of document” for the same. After this registeration, there were another 2 transacations (one in 2002 and next in 2008) has been made and now mine is 3rd (2010).

My lawyer advised to proceed for registeration after blocked some amount and asked them to file a FIR and issue a public notice through notary public. They have also accepted for the same. My lawyer also told me that if they are not doing it, we can do it and no need to pay them this blocked amount. This was also written in 20 Rupees stamp paper and got his signature.

Real Estate agency person also commited to transfer the PATTA to my name, FMB, Chitta and Adangal.

My doubt here is :

1. When EC shows all transcations till mine, do i still need to worry.

2. Is there anything to be made from my end to avoid any issues in future.

2. Is there any possible to mishandle that missing link document by anybody.

3. If they are not doing , is it okay to issue a public notice by me.

Request you to kindly advise me on this and help me to get out from this worry.

Thanks and regards,

Kumar
