Re : EMI payment Default

Dear Sir,

In the year 2005, I purchased a Desktop computer for Rs.36000/- under EMI scheme equated for 3years upon down payment of Rs.7500/- through Bajaj Finance. I was paying regularly untill I was relocated to chennai, I had got another 10 to 11 dues of EMI to clear, as the place was very new to me I took little time to find a new job and settledown and the ECS was going through my salary account of my previous company for which I was working with, during the course of time the Bajaj fin people had been calling my house owner asking for my new address, I had told my house owner to inform my relocation and gave my new number to be given to bajaj fin people. After a long period of time now they had called my number and are asking to pay Rs.1,65,000/- towards my due and said if fail to pay they would issue me a legal notice.

Sir, now am very much worried and very depressed after hearing that I need to pay Rs.1,65,000/- in the place of 10 to 11 EMI amounting Rs.1302/- each. How Bajaj people can charge such an exorbitantly on me, what are the consequences if I don’t pay them, I am ready to clear the dues which am suppose to pay the left over EMIs. But I shall never be able to pay them the exorbitant charges.

Please advice and guide me in fighting this issue and to clear the EMIs smoothly.

Thanking You Sir

Hello,

How much time had lapsed after you paid your last EMI and now when they charged you Rs 1+ lakh? And what rate of interest are they charging?

Dear Madam,

Its been alteast 7 to 8 years since I paid the last EMI, the Bajaj Fin people aren’t disclosing the rate of interest that have charged, when asked they said the charges are per RBI rules. After negotiation with the concerned manager, he asked me to pay Rs.60000/- instead of Rs.165000/- and remaining amount would be waived off.
