I think you should definitely take a shot at getting into GLC, for the following reasons:

1. Legacy. Great alumni contacts (just like CLC Delhi University) and many chances to meet them and network when they show up at events organised by GLC

2. The Mumbai advantage. You can intern almost year-round with mainstream law firms as well as old school solicitor firms. Everyone who is anyone is mostly in Mumbai

3. A beautiful campus to go to, probably one of the prettiest in Indian universities.

4. All this at a super low fee

5. Going by Legally India’s placement data, it doesn’t seem that law schools other than NLS and Nalsar are doing much for the placement of those who are not in the top of the top. If you are left to your own means in any case, why not go for advantages 1-4 while you’re at it.

Though addendum: I do agree that the peers you go to college with also matter a lot, and GNLU or RMLNLU (and some of the lower down national law schools) do seem more proactive and show a lot more seriousness towards law as a career on a number of very objective parameters.

This person has little or no knowledge about law schools for sure…How do u compare these 4? GNLU, in this category is ridiculously funny! Also, SLS and RML are anyday better than Nirma.
