i am a bank manager and given loans to some borrowers, they have taken the loan on basis of forged documents but received payment through duly introduced accounts,is it a case of impersonation ?
All accounts are duly recommended by my agriculture officer, with legal opinion by an approved advocate of the bank.kindly make an early reply.

If someone makes a fake id and asks for a loan on forged and fabricated documents it goes without saying that he is committing a crime. under 415 ipc along with relevant other sections for forgery etc. Its illegal and if you have followed the text book and done verifications and found this out. Stop the loan file a police complaint and reject the loan and incase any amounts have been given then take the same back.
its a simple case of cheating and forgery.

Mr Bhatia,
Have they defaulted on the loan ?
When you say forgery, what has been wrongly shown to the bank ?
if they have defaulted on the loan, there would be legal security the bank has taken. bank can recover from that.
When you say forgery, you must also state what was it that you think that was forgery.
If the loan officer and the legal officer has not raised any objection. then how come you are saying it is forgery ?
either they missed out something. or that your assumption is wrong.
