Cheque Bounce and Labour Problems
Hi,
I need a legal advice for my problem. I was working with an IT company, in Technopark from January 2012. I resigned from the organisation on 14 December 2012, giving a prior notice before a month.
I resigned of the fact that I have not got my salary from October. My salary was around 15,000/- per month. After all discussions, they have given me a cheque of Rs.37,500/- in 3 cheques of 12,000, 13,000 and 12,500 like denominations.
I have presented the cheque on 17 December, the cheque bounced of insufficient balance. Then when I asked them about the cheque bounce, they replied in a so arrogant manner as if asking me to go to court, wait to 5-6 years to get the cheques settled.
That made me disappointed and I stepped back. Later a month later, after informing them I have again presented the cheque, and I’m waiting for the result now.
I’m an engineering graduate, from a reputed engineering college and have joined this organisation through all the interview process. From the date I have joined, I’m seeing the company officials terminating many employees from the organisation without prior notice or even payment. No one still now have not complained because of the fear of the background verification when the step on to any other company.
From the month I have resigned, there were 5 more resignations. There are people who didn’t get even a single coin as salary with them. They are people with good influence in Technopark as well as in politics. Please let me know how shall I proceed with this
Thanks
