Selecting a state for establishing practice

AnonymousLLB 3 Nov 2012, 19:16

To all with time and knowledge,

I am about to graduate from law school in a matter of months. I wanted to work under a senior, as per convention, and establish myself as a criminal lawyer eventually. I belong to Uttar Pradesh, but have been shying from starting practice here as a lot of litigation work is done in legal hindi, which gives me jitters.

I would highly appreciate if anyone with prior experience could provide me with valuable advice on which state to practice in.

Criteria-

1) Litigation primarily in English

2) Good money/ ample number of cases

Would Delhi be a good option? I hear it’s very ‘overcrowded’.
