Hi Experts, require you advise on how tackle this issue. I was given a cheque of Rs 15,000 for a business transaction. After deposit I came to know due to insufficient amount the cheque has bounced. I have been trying to contact the person on phone and he always used to give me excuses that he will pay me the money in next 15-20 days. It has been more than a month but nothing has happened. I contacted a lawyer to file a case but according to lawyer, he needs an address of the person. To get the address I contacted the bank but they were not willing to help me and informed that address cannot be provided as it is against law. Request you to provide a solution to this as I caught in a big soup. I would like to know is there any way to get the address of the person? Its been more than a month the cheque was deposited so is it the time period has elapsed. Kindly assist.
