Is there any Law to get purchased product serviced if I agree to pay charges.

AnonymousLLB 1 Oct 2012, 14:13

I’ve purchased a ZeroB RO Water Purifier about 1 Year 8 Months ago. Company gives one year complete cover warranty and service with new RO system. When It was in warranty period I had to go Japan for official work. I came back after 5 months and during this period warranty period was over. I called customer care to get my RO serviced and to get AMC (Annual Maintenance Cost Agreement). They promissed me but never turned back. I tried so many times. Even I tried on ZeroB website by sending SMS but nothing happened.

I want to know is there any Law that protects me being a customer to get my product serviced by paying it’s charges? As I’m willing to pay AMC charges and water comes under basic necessasities is one of my poing.

Is production companies bound to service there sold product for some period of time?

Eg. If company does not service the product and do not produce spare parts my produce will not function. I think they are bound for some time.

Please suggest.

Thanks & Regards

Manoj
