Do Most Lawyers And Law Students Have Internet in Their Homes?

Hi,
My name is Max. I’m a lawyer from Los Angeles, California. I’m considering starting a law-related company in India. As part of my business plan, I have to determine whether I need to rent a building, or whether I can use lawyers and law students to work from their homes.
In mid-sized and large Indian cities, do most lawyers and law students have internet in their homes? I apologize if this is a stupid question, but, as they say, “a closed mouth will never be fed.”
Thanks,
Max

You could rent an office space/apartment across all cities in India. The rents in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore would be high but in Tier 2 cities, it’s not much.
Yes, the lawyers can work from home/office and having internet at home is common thing in India.
If it is just about the internet, wouldn’t the cost of handing them data cards and laptops or net-books be more feasible than the cost of running a separate office space?
Whether have an office in an Indian City or letting people work from home is a difficult question.
Like earlier said, having a rental office in any Indian City - exceptions Mumbai or Delhi, should be easy and cost-effective.
The real question would be whether you would be able to conduct and/or supervise and/or perform work in a virtual environment, as from your experience as a lawyer, you might agree to a fact that, real world interactions are much more effective to convey legal issues/instructions, rather than an email or through internet amongst your peer group or any person for that matter.
Internet Connection query - Yes many of them do have an internet connection
Thank you all so much for your response. So, now they I know that most lawyers and law students have internet in their homes, I have one more question: Is the internet connection that lawyers and law students have in their homes a reasonably good connection? Is it fast enough to download and upload large amounts of documents that are sent via email?
I really appreciate all the responses.
Thanks,
Max
Check the legal bar council guidelines before you make any decision. Foreign players are not allowed to start legal services in india.
