Is ragging a problem at law school?

kianganz 10 Aug 2009, 06:31

Have you ever experienced any ‘ragging’ or ‘bullying’ at law schools?

Do you think law students are better behaved than others?

Am interested in your views, particularly after all the recent noise in the media about it.

In renowned Law Schools, not at all. May be a little bit but that is negligible.

Not at all.

I speak as a 1st year student at NLIU… seniors and juniors are inseparable because of the need for guidance to juniors, and the experience of seniors…

And as far as ragging is concerned… I’ve never been ragged, and Ive witnessed it either.

So, I don’t think ragging is a problem at all, at least in the premier law schools..

Not at all…raggin a big NO NO in GNLU atleast…seniors although do take intimidating intros frm da juniors..but nothin physical or mental…its a healthy affair in our college…

i dont think it happens in the “big” colleges… mayb the rural or the less known colleges…

but in general students dont seem to get involved much in such acts compared to the stories we hear from our parents…students are quite aware of the Act too…

and its far more in the Engineering and Medical colleges than the Law colleges!!!

and personally i feel ragging aint that much of fun…

They r there to become Lawyers…so all of them are quite of the consequences…they will have to face after the action is done…

ragging is not at all a problem in any of the national law schools

Never. There has never been any question of ragging at our law school. Juniors and seniors share a very amicable relation. Orientation is a very friendly and fun process..

I do believe that law students are much more mature when it comes to dealing with ragging. Engg n medical colleges are the worst.

I am a first yr law student from KIIT Law School

well ragging…dat too n a law school..is a strict no no..atleast dats d scenrio n our law school..

ragging should nt be seen as something that engulfs intros and a bit of intimating conversations…

in a law school…ders hardly a diff between d seniors and juniors…just bcoz d juniors need ders seniors experience and at the same time seniors too need some kind of assistance from there juniors…

hence…a law school is a close knit of students..and ders no space for ragging
