Hi Folks,

I’ve been hearing rumors that the 3 year L.L.B degree is going away in the near future and the 5 year Degree will be the only valid law degree. Its no secret that the Bar council would like to do away with the 3 year degree, but somehow the 3 year option has survived till now.

In my case, I’m already a graduate and would like to pursue a law degree, but at present I am not able to start the course, so I’d like to start a couple of years down the line. However if the 3 year degree is going to go away in the near future then it makes sense for me to try and join a course immediately, even though I will be not be able to do full justice to it.

What do people here think ? Is the 3 year degree going the way of the Dodo ?
