We are NRI’s residing abroad and an Indian person is harassing us by sending us emails with inappropriate content.
We need to know how we can lodge a complain in india against this person

Can’t you just block the offending messages by categorising them as spam so they don’t come through in future, and/or ignoring them? Would seem a lot easier and less hassle practically in most cases than getting a successful police complaint surely?
Maybe some lawyers can provide a different perspective, just my thoughts…
