I am a B.A.LL.B fresher graduated in January,2012 from a State University of India. I want to work at a law firm of repute in Delhi. But, due to lack of personal awareness I could not undergo any internships till date. So, I hardly have any notion of work structure in a law firm. Now, internships does not make sense for a graduate. But considering my situation, is it advisable to apply directly to law firms for jobs? Or prior to it, interning at a couple of reputed law firms would be handy to gain preference from recuiters post intern experience?

Further, being a fresher without internship experience with mediocre academic credentials from a non-elite law school, do I have any chance to grab an Associate position in a law firm?
