Threatening calls from ICICI bank

Somebody gave my number to the credit card department for his guarantee and I don’t know what’s the issue with him now. But I got calls from the bank and a person from the bank misbehaves with me and he threatens me for not paying the the credit card bill by the original card holder. I have nothing to do with that, neither I signed anything or took any responsibility for that card. Please help.

Chill out, you do not have to get hysterical. The card holder must have given your name as a reference only, you do not become the guarantor, since you have not entered into any agreement as such. Please tell the stupid caller that you are not supposed to pay and they should call up the right person (card holder). The liability to pay the bills is of the card holder and the same cannot be transferred to you.

If they keep calling you or threaten, file a complaint at the police station.

Jus don’t wait for another call, go to nearest police station and file FIR.
