I had given few lakhs of money to a person on a trust basis ( without any agreement or cheques) to get a govt project. orally we agreed that if the project doesen’t happens they should return the money. Unfortunately work didn’t happened, now if i ask the money they are telling they will give but it will take time, they are not telling the exact date for repayment. So i am thinking to give a police complaint for cheating. I have two persons as witnesses who were there when i gave the money, and i have recording of our conversation over the phone in which they have agreed that they should give the money. Kindly guide me in which way i should proceed and what provisions are there in law which will help me in this issue.
