MMRDA & MHADA made us homeless

AnonymousLLB 19 May 2012, 16:37

We are the 240 low income group tenements of MHADA buildings.

MMRDA had demolished our buildings in 2009 to facilitate construction of Santacruz Chembur Link Road project, after taking our consent & entering in MOU with MMRDA & MHADA.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with us on June 2009 in presence of Honourable Judge, Mumbai

As per the clause of said MOU, MMRDA was to construct new buildings within 24 months from the date of MOU, & maximum 30 months from the date of MOU

In spite of such assurance as of today i.e. after 37 months of MOU we undersigned are homeless in spite of having our own homes before giving consent for demolition.

There are clearly contempt of court terms by MMRDA & MHADA.

In spite of frequent reminders & follow up with MMRDA no action has been taken yet.

In view of above, We will be thankful if you write your valuable suggestion on (newtilaknagar[at-the-rate-of]gmail[dot]com

) thanks in well advance.
