What Companies and Law Firms offer law jobs in Kolkata?

Hi,

I am from NUJS Kolkata and have worked as an in house attorney in a very reputed MNC for almost two years now. I wish to relocate to Kolkata. My current CTC is 10.2 lakhs pa. Please can anyone tell me what are the best places to get a job in Kolkata?

I don’t want a very low salary, but anything above 4 lakhs will be good for me.

Which Law Firms and Companies are the best places to apply in Kolkata?

Starange that you want to settle for 4 lacs. I would suggest against it. And you being from NUJS really need suggestions about law firms in calcutta!!

The situation in the Calcutta job market sucks-its quite difficult getting a job in Cal. I know Amarchand Mangaldas recruits, but the Cal office is very small, not too many people get in and I wasn’t a batch topper nor am I from a law firm background. Then there’s Argus Partners, Khaitan which I think pay decently, Fox doesn’t pay much and its very difficult getting in.

Victor Moses, Sanderson Morgan and Ginodia pay peanuts.

ICICI Bank, ITC recruits in house lawyers but again its difficult to get in. Any more suggestions?

I want to be based out of Calcutta only, and would prefer ICICI and ITC. I have worked in a top MNC as an in house Corporate lawyer, so which places would be good to apply and which people would be good to approach?
