As I am a Mariner , so i will not be able to do Law as a regular student. So is thr a possibility that some university offers Distance Learning course in Law to become a lawyer.

A lawyer is a person with knowledge of laws. Yes you can do a number of Courses through distance education to become a lawyer. Check out the BGL course of Annamalai University and Madurai Kamraj University. You can even do for the LLM after BGL. Check out ICFAI, Kurukshetra and Kakatiya Universities for LLM. Alternatively you can try the MBL from NLSIU but its tough.
Though I must warn you that you cannot become an advocate by doing these courses but you can be more adept at legal issues in a corporate setups.
However if you are really keen on doing an LL.B. and becoming an advocate there are a number of low end law colleges where you can get admitted and just appear for the examinations whenever they are held till you pass of course for a price to be paid to the corrupt management. Be warned that most of these are just money making private ventures and really substandard and you wont learn much law. They are more like degree mills and copying is institutionalised in them with teachers even dictating answers in the exam hall.
Given below is a list of some of these dubious colleges:
Anuppur Law College, Annupur MP
New Law College, Pondicherry
GR Kare College of Law, Madgaon, Goa
Deenabandhu Sahu Law College, Kendrapara, Orissa
Rani Laxmibai Vidhi Mahavidyalaya, Jahnsi

are you sure we can take admission to LLM (2 year) after doing 3 year Bachelor of General Law? Because only that’s why I’ll take admission to BGL.
Please let me know..
and I Also saw that EIILM univ. also offer BGL is that correct?

Distance mode courses are not recognized by BCI, so if you want to practice as a lawyer you can not take up any distance course… if its just for knowledge, u r free to tale couses like BGL,BBL,PGDIPRL etc

I am software engineer and want to do LLB just for my knowledge. As I am working person I am not be able to attend lectures in regular course. So I have decided to do distance LLB.
Just want to know if I am able to complete my distance learning then I can be a advocate and I am not able to practice in court, is it right?
Also, can I able to take small jobs like do a notary or registration of rent agreement etc ?
