My friend is a Hindu girl and she wants to marry a Muslim boy under Special Marriage Act.They want to perform Nikah after that.

Will Special Marriage Act still remain valid for my friend after she does Nikah?Will she still get covered by the Special Marriage Act even if she takes a Muslim name during Nikah?

(Please note that my friend wants to continue using her Hindu name for all official purpose after nikah also)
