i was working with a company for past 11 month as a graduate engineer trainee.in my appointment letter it was written that’this is a time bound agreement for a period of 2 years,in case you happened to leave the service within that period you are liable to pay an amount equivalent to six month of your stipened”.

but they didn’t got any sign from me on any paper of whatsoever kind.

they didn’t took even carbon copy appointment letter signed by me.

is merely writing on appointment letter is valid as a service agreement.?

do i need to pay them back any money?

i was not given any benefit which confirmed employee were enjoying.nor any PF or ESI from my stipened was deducted.
