I am Suseela aged 51. I belong to Andhra Pradesh state of India. I have purchased 3600 Sq.Ft of land from my relative paying Rs 10,000/- in the year 1993. During the period of purchase my relative had 4 children who were majors. I did not obtain the signature from the 4 children willing to transfer the land. Now i.e after 18 Years and 8 months, i have been issued a notice from district court from one of the children. The summary reads “I do have the share over the property sold by my father in the year 1993”. I was shocked by the news. I came to know that my relative acquired the land as an ancestral property. Now I wonder if i would be the sole owner of the property or does the children too have the right over the property that i have brought ?

Please guide me what needs to be done from my side ?
