Pls help me find any SC decisions on this aspect.
under section 2(d) of consumer protection act, 1986
any person who
1. buys goods for consideration
2. avails services of consideration
will be a consumer.
under section 2(m) of the same act defines person which includes:
1.a firm wheather registered or not
2. a hindu undivided family
3.a cooperative society
4.every other association of person wheather registered or not.
therefore housing societies can be a consumer too.
there are no cases in sc regarding this matter
