My father had bought a house 15 years back..Now he wants to write in my name..He lost the sale deed document. How can I get it. Whom should we reach to get a certified copy?

hi…

it appears that you don’t have registry of your house… kindly confirm with your father whether he had registered the transfer of his house at the time of his purchase at collectrate by paying stamp duty..

if yes,then the record will be available at COllectorate at record section .. from here you can get the certified copy of your house resgitry & on this your father can transfer the house in your name…

another scenario is that if your father doesnot have registery of your house & not even it was registered with collectorate by paying stamp duty… in this case you can have the possession of the property on notary.. only remedy left is that your father can issue a will your favour … or even can transfer the property through Notary to you…

i suggest you topls check the papers of the land in govt record.. it hardly cost you 500 -2000 rs..

better you file RTI & get the details

Thank you for your advice,what is notary and how it can be done as my grand father and father did not register land as well as they have either paid stamp duty 40 years back but we do have all the necessary elecricity, water, house tax for the last fourty years in the name of grandfather, father and now mother. so how can i do regisry of my house now please give me suggestion. As the seller is no living today and left out the country many years back.

i will be very thankfull to you for your kind suggestion. please help me out
