I wouldn’t recommend it since they haven’t had their first batch out yet.
I think they offer Energy Laws as a mandatory add-on to their existing courses. There is no scope for Energy Laws in India right now. It might take another 5-10 yrs to develop.
All The Best.

as India’s population is increasing at a very high rate, its energy requirement is also increasing, if u know for any contract they need a specialized person who knows basic about ds sector.it is established by directors of energy sector, they felt its requirement so they started it. so its not that useless.starting salary of energy companies pays is then law firms.

UPES is a new college…and for BBA.LLB the add on is corporate law and not energy laws…it is not so good…it is just an average college…and beside if you want to study 5 year law…NLU’s are the best…private colleges arent so good in india! if you are desperate about doing law and you have no other option…UPES is not sooo bad!!

It is surprising to go through most of the comments above. My sister is an UPES pass out and I know for a fact that she prides herself as being part of UPES community. I’m aware that they provide quality placements to its students. UPES’s integrated dual degree 5 year program in Law with specialization in Energy Laws is the first of its kind in the pan Asian region. Approved by Bar Council of India, it is currently being offered under the College of Legal Studies. For further information, please visit upes.ac.in

I would sincerely suggest to check the fact. It looks like you have been mislead. Please visit the institute’s facebook account at http://www.facebook.com/UniversityofPetroleumandEnergyStudies?fref=ts too.
