There is no comparison b/w NLUD & NALSAR becoz nalsar has goodwill which has been earned by hard work, study cultural and there are many more things. Instead of writing so much i wud like to explain in one phrase that “Rome was not built in a day”. in the same manner NALSAR is good option rather than NLUD (I don’t mean dat it is not good but in comparison of NALSAR…NALSAR is better option)

Brand name matters a lot. NALSAR has a good lobby of alumni in Law firms, companies. Needless to say nalsar is better option.

NALSAR is the best… Even NLUD happens to look upto NALSAR to find a path towards its better future… Every NLU sets up a good example for the following ones and the ones on top has to have a lot better setup, which the following ones will have to gradually build up… If you are new comer to NLUs (through CLAT or AILET), then you need to know that all the progressive NLUs continuously coordinate with each other… NALSAR has a valuable experience of more than 10 years, which as of now is lacking in NLUD and from which it is learning… If one chooses NLUD, then he needs to ensure that he has to take active steps in developing the culture in the university… NLUD seems to be a good going university… And, it needs good leadership amongst the students… So, if you join NLUD, then take that responsibilty, otherwise, join NALSAR, which is at present, better than NLUD…

Nlud really needs a proper leadership amongst students… A leader who can show progressive steps towards progressive study culture than other …

The culture of NLUD is very stifling and domineering.

Domineering because of Ranbir Singh’s policies. And stifling because of the timings. You are allowed out of the campus only after 4-6 pm in the evening!

The students will turn to be frogs in the well. They won’t be able to interact with the real world, or enjoy their lives. They’ll grow old and depressed by the time they passout!

Sad but true!

Ranbir singh’s policies were same throughout, whether in NALSAR or NLUD.

He is an excellent Institution builder.

and these stifling and domineering policy you are talking about is of Late Ghanshayam Singh(Chief Warden).

I think Ranbir Singh is doing his best to get same results from NLUD in comparative less time than what took him 8years in NALSAR.

Lets see what happens.

Ranbir Singh experimented at Nalsar and with his experience perfect it at NLUD

AnonymousLLB 29 Jun 2011, 16:30

Ranbir Singh made NALSAR what is it, but why do we forget that at the time when NALSAR was established, there was only one National law University present in the country other than NALSAR i.e. NLS, Bangalore.

Until now, NALSAR has not been able to defeat it.

It would be very interesting to see how NLUD would be able to defeat NLS, NALSAR and NUJS in future :)

Defeating in Every aspect, and a college is not ranked because of a candidates’ choice in the entrance :)

Did you read the letter the current V.C. wrote to the parents on the NALSAR website. Scary! was that brand building or reality at Nalsar.

Wait and watch.

In few years from now, every law university(state university) will have state reservation because there is so much pressure from the respective state govt. on these universities to give reservations to their people as its the state which supports them financially(initially at-least).

NALSAR started this year. Many govts. ll follow and why shouldn’t they? They spend so much from the state exchequer on them.

Best part is that this Reservation schemes ll not effect NLU Delhi for sure. That will make them a class apart institute.

Just wait and watch.

NLUD Delhi did beat NUJS at JESSUP MOOT COURT. 9th in the world is the Delhi ranking. Who says competitions don’t matter. Sour grapes for losers. Where were the top three?

AnonymousLLB 2 Jul 2011, 12:30

@above - Sour your grapes.

You should have also mentioned that QUARTERFINALIST was NUJS and not NLUD.

Best performance from India.

Now do not say that NLUD is in 3rd year. NUJS won Vienna Moot (Final) in its 3rd year of existence.

Get a Life.

How very astute of you. Now you would also like to mention how you are behind NLUD in the MPL.
