I got selected in both these NLUs, please tell me which one is better and why ?

NALSAR any day man.
NLUD is promising, but young and unproven in the legal arena. Prefer NLUD only after NLSIU, NUJS, NALSAR, NLIU and NLUJ.

If you’re following the trend, you would probably find out that people are getting confused what to choose between NUJS and NLUD. There are so many people who have left NUJS to come to NLUD. Lots of people last year left NLUJ to come to NLUD. People left NLIU to come to NLUD.

NLU delhi AIR 2 AIR 4 of 2012 etc. are all in NALSAR.
Take the proven, better law school. Hypes are always created. NUJS NLUD are such hypes. All the people before you were not dumb ones. Stick to the convention. There is a reason. Not all people before you were fools.

Every year some sissies leave NALSAR, NUJS, etc. for NLUD coz they can’t live outside Delhi.
The rest of the lot but for those 5-6 people are the ones who couldn’t clear CLAT.
Don’t believe the hype. All colleges when they are new show some determination..like Delhi right now.. but that disappears after the first few batches

As u ve d option of both, I believe NALSAR wud b best!! Had it not been so, U cud ve joined NLU Delhi.. N ya, many r leavin NUJS n NLUI 4 NLU Delhi.. I believe Delhi is yet to be at par with NLSUI and NALSAR…

Yes.
NALSAR is older, has a bigger campus and at present has a bigger reputation.
NLU Delhi has “Delhi” in highlights.
We get to meet people like Veerappa Moily, the CJ of Delhi HC has come quite a few times last year.
As for students.
People in my batch have dropped pretty good colleges to get in here.
A good friend of mine dropped Nalsar.
I personally dropped NUJS.
And lastly, but the clinching factor,
We have the VC who made NALSAR what it is.
Yes,
Some of his policies are not too great(or that’s our opinion, the guy sure is making our univ. famous).
But then, one must weigh the advantages.
Either way,
There’s not much to choose.
If you become a top lawyer in India, you will end up in Mumbai or Delhi most probably.
Take a pick.

Join NLU Delhi, NALSAR started State Reservations from this year. This gonna ruin them 4 sure.

Placement wise NLSIU, Bangalore & NALSAR, Hyderabad are the best in India.

Go for NALSAR, it is an established brand. It’s a different matter if you are from Delhi or some city in North India close to Delhi and are really really home sick. Our college has the potential to be the best law school in the country but NALSAR is already right up there along with NLS, so if I were you (I left NUJS to come here) I would have picked NALSAR. And a college is what students make out of it, VCs and other factors matter only in the starting years but NALSAR is already an established brand so doesn’t matter how good their vc is. Take my word and go to NALSAR. And trust me, because being a NLUD student, I can tell you that I would trade my place for a place in NALSAR any day as long as our college doesn’t come out with it’s first batch.

Choose NALSAR.
NALSAR has right now the VC which NLUO had, who made NLUO grow faster than anyother law college in INDIA in first three years of establishment. Be it NLUD or NLSIU.
NALSAR had the highest placements last year. NLUD is not even getting placements this year. a NLUO student got a pre placement call from a prestigious law firm, though it is younger to NLUD because they had Faizan Mustafa, new VC Of my college.
prestigious law firms pays NALSAR to get their students recruited to their firms, NLUD cnt event think about it.
Lst but not the least.. Law schools are ranked according to their establishment years.because, there is one old saying..
“OLD IS GOLD”

NALSAR, being at the verge of bankruptcy and being the host of a dying legal environment is not the wisest choice when you have another option, one as brilliant as NLUD. The politically charged, alive environment that the campus of NLUD, with the great advantage of being the national capital and the home of the Supreme Court of the country, will provide you with is hard to match. The dedication towards the essential activities of law school like mooting, ADR, debating, etc that the college administration displays is unmatched. Whether you are a rightist, a leftist, a feminist, or just a neutral observer, you will be catered to amply. With the kind of financial resources that the college possesses, its infrastructure is hardly a surprise. Also, lets face it, its Delhi.

Apparently the curfew timings are enforced from 6PM in NLUD. That is horrible and sad. At NALSAR, you go to the Dhaba after clasees, chill for a little while and return by 9PM. By the way there are at least a dozen dhabas to choose from in the vicinity excluding Alankrita. The environment at NALSAR, both in terms of campus and quality of life is something you will not get anywhere. Besides, the shameerpet lake is just beside the campus. The placements speak for themselves. The wide number of clubs and societies, including one for music and gender help you channelize the causes one cares about. Professors like Dhanda will help one open the proverbial doors of perception towards the discipline of law and the profession at large. Faizans Constitutional lectures were very interactive and dissent was encouraged. The academic freedom at NALSAR is also worth mentioning. You can choose inter-disciplinary subjects on Corporate Regulation, Insolvency, Law and Popular Culture, Private Equity and venture capital law, Aviation law etc. Some of these courses have been taught by High Court judges and practicing advocates. NALSAR is the place to go.

It now stands at 9pm for leaving campus, and 10pm for hostels. Please get your facts right before writing about a college.
