Could anyone on this forum whose a student of SLCU tell me about the college timings , no of days in a week that the college works and if there is a uniform/dress code that has to be followed if so what is the dress code ,if it is supposed to be followed on all days of the week or only on certain days

What is the first day all about ie are there classes or is it only orientation and are the students allowed to leave early

Hello.

Well, SLCU functions from Monday to Saturday. The weekday timings are 9-4 with Saturday’s at 9-1.

There is no dress code as such for the Law School, but the decorum and decency requirements prescribed by the University need to be followed at all times. You would be/should already have been instructed on these matters during admission. In any case, the same shall be imbibed upon you on your first day.

There are a lot of activities and academics cannot be compromised at any cost. Your first day i presume would be an orientation, the freshers day would follow suite soon after and introductory moot and introductory debate would begin. In about 2 weeks time following all this, the Internal Ranking Rounds for the National Moot Court 2011-2012 would begin.

Please feel free to ask any further doubts.
