NUALS Kochi, the law school in the backwaters of Kerala, shrouded in mystery?

Hello all. I was wondering if someone could throw some light on the state of affairs in NUALS Kochi. I have been unable to find a lot of information about the college online, and absolutely nothing on faculty, infrastructure, participation in inter-college events and the like. I obtained an unique CLAT 2011 AIR of 387 and plan on gradually starting preparation for the UPSC Examinations. It is my desire to study in a small, remote place where I can prepare seriously. Being an avid sportsperson and athlete, I have been considering this college in Kerala. However, I am being advised against this idea by many. If someonec could give me a non-biased, honest opinion, I would greatly appreciate it.

Try HNLU in that case if you can get it.
But if you think you can live 5 years this way and prepare for civil services and live with a student quality a little lower than other NLU’s and still not regret going somewhere else, then it is fine.
But 5 years is a long time man.
UPSC is a tough nut to crack; not that you can’t; but even if you really really can, and really really want to, there is no guarantee that you will. (There isn’t a guarantee for anything; but this is different).
Only the intelligent and hard working and lucky people make it to UPSC. There are intelligent and hardworking but unlucky people who waste 3-4 years in hope of making through this exam. (Hope is good, but shouldn’t be a long shot).
Go to a good college. Every college will allow you to study seriously if you want to. Many students of NLUs make it to the IAS. Out of 4 people who cracked the UPSC from calcutta, 2 were from NUJS. A NALSAR graduate was ranked 50 or 150 I think.
And well, choose a good law school; the best your rank can afford. Somewhere down the line, you might realise, that you can do bigger things than UPSC.
