Hey there!:) You seem really geared up from what I can see, material-wise, but don’t forget to get a hold of NLSIU, NUJS and NLU-D past year papers. You’ll need all the practice you can get. I, like you, am also an aspirant, so I may not know any better than you do about the degree of difficulty of the paper, and besides, I think it’s quite a gamble. Gambling, as any rational person may know, is a waste of anyone’s time. Hence, just prepare for the worst paper you can ever expect. But for that reason, don’t endlessly spend on yearbooks and material…they’ll just end up collecting dust, most of them atleast. LST modules are great and they DO prepare you for the worst. Invest in this good Norman Lewis book called ‘Word Power Made Easy.’, Manorama or Penguin’s Yearbook for GK and yes!! Newspapers!! Nothing like ‘em to get you a good dose of GK. Spend one hour of those enviable 10-12 hours with them. Once you start loving the exercise of reading a newspaper, prep doesn’t seem like prep. Also, you have good chances of doing well in the GK section. Read the editorials. Do NOT skip them. They’ll help with English Reading comprehension. For math, you’re good to go with LST. The sames goes for Legal and Logical. Concentrate on your strengths and weaknesses EQUALLY. I’ve made some huge mistakes on that front. Also, like I always believe, good mental attitude helps. A lot. Stay focused, keep the orientation alive, don’t study for 3 hrs continuously. Take breaks in between, otherwise you won’t remember what you’ve studied. I speak from experience, happened to me in GK. Been there, done that, do NOT want to go there. If you ever feel bored, take a break, relax, remind yourself of what you reeeaaallly want to be and what you need to do to be that, and get back on your feet. There is no guaranteed formula for success. I know, tons of people say this, but hell, it’s true! Stay curious, never stay satisfied with what you know. But don’t mindlessly search for facts. Steer clear of negative stuff. If you ever meet people with negative mindsets, have negative thoughts, accept them, but don’t hold on. Hell, if so many people have got through the exam, you can do it too. So, to hell with negativity. Ignore it. Just know you can do it. Whether you get through or not, only time can tell. But until then, time’s in your hands! So give your 100%. Don’t get nervous. Relax. You have LOTS of time compared to people like me.:( So, use that unfair advantage and get cracking right now. You’ll do fine.:) Just stay calm, you’ll need a lot of that for the exam also. All the BEST!!!! :cheer: Hope I could help.:)

i have applied for cl’s correspondence course … i have been supplied with 3 modules containing books in 2 parts on the various topics of clat plus aa lot of last years papers … is that what cl gives to all its students full year as well as those taking the 1 mth course … can someone please clarify or confirm this since i was assured that the material in all 3 cl course are same and at par… the only disadvantage being the lack of professional teaching that a dist. learning student wont get …

I am not exactly sure.. but, I guess LST Beacon is the course you’ve opted for. And LST’s one year course includes LST Beacon too! So I guess the study materials that u got are the same that a student of 1 year program’s gets.

But it would be the best to get this thing confirmed from the LST guys.

I don’t remember studying 10-12 hours a day ever.

Stay focussed.

You may read all sorts of bullshit which may never be asked in CLAT.

Focus on relevant issues.

A question on the capital of Burkina Faso CAN come.

But MOST PROBABLY it WON’T.

So read things like those only if you are sure you’re done with ‘everything’ else.

Read the newspapers.

Discuss your GK.

Solve your Model Test Papers.

Chill out.

Go out with friends.

Give it your best shot.

Suggesting the modus of “take it easy” would probably jump right over your head, but really do pay heed to it!

The thing about CLAT is it strays away from testing you as a Law aspirant at certain questions. The difference between u getting into NLSIU and RMNLU becomes this.

So its hard work multiplied with luck and a cool head. Because it is these questions, which requires more than knowledge that tests u!

Just stick to your routines, keep up the good work!
