National Law Institute University, Bhopal in association with National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) is organising the historic conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Industrial Disasters.

The Conference focuses on Industrial Disaster vis-à-vis Corporate Social responsibility in the light of 25 Years of Bhopal Gas Disaster that took place at Bhopal on 2nd December 1984.

The Conference brings more than 400 participants from academia, judiciary, student fraternity, industry and law firms from India and all over the world to deliberate on the on issues concerning Corporate Social Responsibility.

Prof Marc Galanter, Prof Upendra Baxi and Prof N.R Madhava Menon will be the some the prominent academicians who shall participate in the conference.

In the history of National Law Schools this conference will be one of the biggest and most important events as no other conference has ever witnessed such a large conclave of participants from all over the world, claim the organisers.

The specialty of the conference is the amalgamation of legal and non-legal issues that will be dealt simultaneously in the conference. The conference aims to provide a common forum for everybody who is interested in this topic.

The conference is a personal endeavor on the part Centre for Business and Commercial Laws (CBCL), NLIU which is the organising body under the aegis of National Law Institute University.
