As for the highest score.. I guess it was 175 by IMS Student Siddhartha Basu.

no subject wise cut-off.. however in case of tie of scores ..legal gk becomes the decider…so make sure u are well up in that…

wll do read lexis nexis guide to LLB entrance,for gk use CSR n the year book, and pratice a lot with legal aptitude ques coz dey consume maximum tym n it will b good if u do universal’s guide for that n go for norman lewis n wren n martin for english.

My preparation is going well… I’m daily working on 2-3 sessions from Norman Lewis’s book. Reading The Hindu everyday. Solving reasoning questions from R.S Agrawal. I need to work up more on the legal section. For that, I’m currently using pearson.

What about yours? I dont know if my way of studying is good enought. Is it good to study all the subjects a little daily or I should study one subject a day? I’m thinking of starting another thread on this topic:/

Hey, just wanted to bring to your attention, comprehension passages are really, really important and they can pretty much make or break your chances to get into the top NLU by a few marks, that’s what I hear from a few seniors. Sorry if I scared you there, but what I meant to say is that give equal importance to comp passages as you might give to gk. They’re tricky, because your opinion on the possible title of the passage might not matter as long as it is the ‘law school opinion’. So, read editorials, a lotta ‘em. And don’t just stop there, flaunt the fact that you know something about the Tunisian crisis because the more you talk about it, the better you’ll understand, form opinions and explore the subject. You might even fall in love with it, haha. Why I’m saying this is because, we aspirants must not only aim for getting through clat, but also for getting through law school in its entirety. So read. From what I’ve heard voracious readers take the cake when it comes to english, gk and the most coveted legal and critical reasoning sections. So read and show off. Don’t be humble. :-) Also, CLAT 2011 basically tests your ability to think under pressure, your presence of mind, your street-smartness and most importantly, your calmness. So, if you’re not a calm person in general, practice staying calm. As Thomas Jefferson rightly said, ” Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal ; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.” And practise. A hell lot of test papers will definitely help to calm you down also. Time your work. Take mock tests from LST and also Clatgyan, a really awesome site. They have two free mocks put up as for now, timed, so you can test yourself accurately. But always remember, no matter how much the knowledge you have, develop the right attitude. Knowledge and memory may fail you, but attitude and beliefs never do. Peace out. :-)

He sure is!! :) I might sound a bit exaggerated, but what I realized after finishing half a dozen of sessions is no matter how hard you try… u WILL NOT forget the words u learnt!! (Jeez! That didn’t make any sense, did it?)

Jokes apart, I found the etymological approach of vocabulary building way way way better than the one I used ever since I started studying English!

Oh no, that made a lotta sense. And yes, I totally agree, his book exudes this certain power that makes you remember every word you learnt, even if you want to forget it. I can actually feel that he’s head over heels in love with the language everytime I open the book, so much so that love it or hate it, you just can’t forget it. :-)Honestly, very few writers have that.

Example : You have a one track mind, and when you’re riding a particular hobbyhorse, you ride it hard. You have such an excessive allinclusive zeal for one thing (and it may be your business, profession, your husband or wife, your children, your stomach (:laugh: lol!!), your money or whatever) that your obsession is almost absurd. You talk, eat, sleep that one thing - to the point that you bore everyone to distraction.

You are a monomaniac. Epic na?!:laugh:

Now, who can possibly forget that?!

I do remember that word… MONOMANIAC!! (Wow! It was like a tiny little single word test and I passed it!!!) I REMEMBERED IT!!!!! :D

I’m an aspirant alright. :-D Doing my 12th right now and took sriram law academy’s coaching classes for 2 years now. Oh, and thanks again! :-) The comments were from the heart and a lot of sweat and toil, not that I’ve been working that hard or anything. :-P

I flaunt those words unconsciously, which usually never do.I try to be as conscious and succinct as possible about what words I use. Weird. Every time I use those words, eyes roll, eyebrows raise, lips purse, and I’m eventually clueless about what just happened. :-D Hell, a good command over the language holds you in good stride through law school, from what I hear. So I guess the whole eye-rolling thing won’t happen there. FTW. :-D

LST must be good. I’ve heard it’s really good. I envy LSTians in a way. :-) I hear they get friggin’ awesome modules.
