Are backs in a subject in the 1st semester poor overall?

I’m a first year student in an NLU, unfortunately I’ve gotten less than 50 in a paper in the 1st semester itself. I’m a little tensed on how bad this reflects in the future. Yeah it’s usual to say, it’s 1st year, screw ups happen, but I’d prefer if some senior law students could answer this truthfully (and especially if any of them have gotten backs in the 1st semester! :P)

Its cool!!! Chill man… you are just doing what all of us have done…Keep the grass off for a while and see that you dont flunk anymore, clear your backlogs.
